Jemima Petch completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology in 2001 and received her PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2006. Her PhD thesis examined how couple relationship education and maternal support helps couples adjust to the transition to parenthood. Jemima is a registered psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Her private practice interests include couple relationship therapy (e.g., communication and conflict resolution, mediation and divorce/separation, intimacy and sexual concerns, infertility), parenting concerns, child behavioural problems, adolescent therapy, and adult therapy. She practices Cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT) for the majority of clinical disorders (e.g., Anxiety, Depression), and Cognitive-behavioural couples therapy and Emotion-focused couples therapy (EFT) when working with couples. Jemima reserves a small part of her practice for bulk-billing clients under a GP mental health plan for clients who are in genuine financial hardship. A waitlist for bulk-billing sessions can apply. Jemima may also provide home-visits for individuals who cannot attend the clinic.
